In his latest book, On Fly-Fishing The Bear River Watershed we take the passenger seat in Chadd’s truck and join him and his friends as they explore the many reservoirs and streams that flow into The Bear that runs from Wyoming, Idaho and into Chadd’s home state of Utah.
The prize on these trips are the native cutthroat trout, sometimes big ones, that reside there, but the book is about much more than this. It explores many themes in a well-observed and expertly-crafted manner.
This book is good news for the fly fishing community. We get to read about our favourite pastime in a style that is fresh, modern and just downright funny.
This is an easy book to recommend for the simple reason that it is really good. I wish there were more like it around.
